Google ad clicks are falling. Should you be concerned?

With all the media hype talking about an impending recession, it can be easy to get caught up in a panic mentality.

Will reduced ad clicks mean fewer sales. Should you switch to other types of advertising?

This is why it’s important to maintain a high level overview of your campaign objectives. You need to remember that your ads are a tactic. They are not your campaign.

If user behaviors change, as they often do during an economic crisis, you simply need to adjust your messaging and your value proposition. After all, people don’t simply stop buying because of a recession.

Businesses still start up. People still need to eat. Companies still need to hire quality staff.

Rather than cutting back your AdWords, take a moment and survey the playing field. Have certain areas become over-saturated? Have new niches opened up? Would people be willing to buy your product for a different reason?

In the real-estate market, the best deals can be found during financial crises. The online ad market is no different. It will just require more research on your part.
